Magento, an open source e-commerce platform

by Gaurav Gupta
Implementing an e -commerce store for our business can help us increase our sales to a great extent. However, this type of development presents challenges greater than those of an institutional website or, even more, a Facebook page. Not only is it about having a space on the Internet, but also offering users efficient tools for a friendly purchasing process: product carts, easily ordered catalogs, administration panels, simple means of payment, etc. Fortunately, there are applications that facilitate the implementation of these features, such as Magento.
Its intuitive management interface offers powerful marketing tools, search engine positioning and catalog management to give marketers the power to create sites tailored to their particular business needs.
Magento is more than an e-commerce-oriented CMS, and has features that differentiate it from similar systems:
-The use of “layout files “, which allow to modify the appearance of the store through simple XML tags.
-The use of templates composed of separate “blocks” that can easily be placed, moved or removed from the page through the layout files. For example, the header and footer, the menu bars, and the content.
Magento is offered in paid and free versions. Being an open source application, it allows the development of highly adaptable solutions in the hands of an expert development team. The result will be an increase in our volume of customers, an improvement in our sales services and a closer relationship with consumers.
